CTC Wins William Byrd Prize
The ICCC is a global celebration of sacred and text-based choral music. This year’s expert Listening Panel comprised Sonya Holowell, Andrew Psarommatis, Titus Grenyer, Aqua Hastings, and Matthew Holt, and was chaired by Antony Pitts, Excelsia’s William Byrd Fellow & Ambassador.
Named for the great English Renaissance composer, the William Byrd Prize recognises the performance that most deeply moves the panel. The 2025 William Byrd Prize was unanimously awarded to Cape Town Camerata for their moving performance of Thomas A. Dorsey’s Precious Lord.
