This challenging work employs several techniques to depict the creation of the world as described in Genesis I. These techniques include overtone singing, whispering and aleatoric clouds of sound. It was selected to represent South Africa at the opening of the BRICS Conference in Moscow in 2015.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void;
and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, let there be light, and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good.
